I must say we are surprised at the results.  The sample was collected from a mob of 31 cattle purchased last week. Most look good, but 3 looked scrappy and I assumed had worms so was fully expecting to have to spend the money to drench.

We have been testing our sheep for worms for many years as it has saved us a great deal of time and money by not drenching when the worm counts have been low. Originally this testing was through NSw Dept of Ag, but more recently we have had trouble sourcing their test kits and also their have been some bad delays in the mail to Penrith which made the results unreliable.

 We have found your simple, inexpensive and reliable test a good way to check the worm levels in our Merino ewe flock, and this has allowed us to do away with routine drenching particularly in the run of dry years that we have been having. This has made a useful saving in our sheep costs, as well as reducing the chance of worm resistance to drench in the mob.
